Adventurous weekends await

From skylifts, hiking, and kayaking, to beaches, city exploring, and a concert with the legendary ABBA. Take a closer look at some of the upcoming Advantage events in 2022.

Our Advantage Team Events have already gotten started for the year with a wonderful trip to Svalbard where participants experienced the cold and pristine landscape of this Nordic Island up close. Among the upcoming team events are activity weekends in Loen and Malangen, city exploration and surfing in Dubrovnik and Budva, and musical high notes in London with an ABBA concert.

Action-packed weekends

Two popular tourist destinations in Norway, Malangen and Loen, await us with many exciting activities.

Loen

In Loen, the Advantage weekend will start off with a boat cruise from beautiful Nordfjord  to Loen, where we will check in to the  historic Hotel Alexandra. We will dine 1100 meters above sea level after taking the skylift up Mt. Hoven. Surrounded by towering mountains,  glaciers, and clear blue waters, Loen is the perfect starting point for action-packed adventures. We will have the opportunity to go biking, hiking, kayaking, RIB boating, body rafting, and climbing the via ferrata route.

Malangen

Malangen offers many of the same activities as Loen, but further north in Norway. Malangen Resort is located by the sea and offers blissful views from the rooms, apartments, and restaurant. We will stay at apartments close to the seaside. On arrival in Tromsø, we will go on a RIB boat ride that will take us to Malangen. Later, a tasty tapas dinner will await us at the wilderness camp, Camp Nikka. The camp is only a short walk from the resort and is secluded by Lake Nikka. The camp includes lavvos, fireplaces, and places to rest and enjoy nature. Back at Malangen Resort, our participants will have the chance to enjoy the sauna or jacuzzi, have a drink at Naustet bar, or say hi to the Huskies in the kennel which are often a part of the activities at Camp Nikka. During the weekend we will also dine at Malangen Resort’s own restaurant, Marmælen, which is inspired by the Nordic cuisine and uses local produce for all its dishes.

Musical endeavors in London

Explore the modern, innovative, and iconic city of London, and attend the long-awaited ABBA concert. Omega 365 has secured tickets to the ABBA Voyage concert, a concert that has been, as the band states, 40 years in the making. The comeback concert will take place on June 11 and combine the old and the new, the young and not-so-young, in brand new concert experience. Through virtual avatars their classic songs like “Mamma Mia”, “Dancing Queen”, and “Waterloo” will be performed with a live band in a custom-built arena.

During the weekend there will, of course, also be ample time to visit historical palaces, magnificent landmarks, world-class museums, and picturesque parks and gardens. We will dine at some of London’s most trendy restaurants, and enjoy a pub lunch on arrival on Friday.

Beaches and beautiful architecture

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, often referred to as the Pearl of the Adriatic, is one of Croatia's most popular destinations. Founded in the year 639, the old city of Dubrovnik is now listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List with a focus on preserving and restoring the gothic, renaissance, and baroque churches. The city is, in other words, packed with historical sites and beautiful architecture, in addition to cafes, restaurants, and small shops. We will have lots of time to explore the area and on Saturday we will go on a boat trip to an island just outside of Dubrovnik. On Friday and Saturday great dining experiences await us at local restaurants. The beach is also never far away with azure waters inviting you to take a dip.

Budva

The Montenegrin town of Budva is also situated by the Adriatic Sea. The Budva Riviera is the center of Montenegrin tourism and is known for its walled city, sandy beaches, and diverse night life. We will be staying at Avala Resort and Villas, a beautiful and modern hotel located right on the beach and only 50 meters from the old town.

We will explore the city of Kotor, which is located close by, and take a boat to Perast for lunch at Conte Restaurant. Perast is in the Bay of Kotor, a few kilometers northwest of Kotor and is close to the islets of St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks. The old town of Kotor is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List and contains historical monuments and history from the Middle Ages.

On Saturday we will dine at the Citadel Fort, which offers a unique experience close to the sea, with amazing views. Budva is 2500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast; here, we can enjoy the architecture, beaches, restaurants, the vibrant culture in the streets, and beautiful views.
