Week Eleven - A taste of things to come
05.12.05 - 11.12.05

As Kenneth's time in Australia begins to wind down, he takes the time to try some Aussie Christmas food and savour his friends' specialties one last time. A Thai cooking course means he just might be able to bring a few of these newfound flavours back to Norway.

We're all looking forward to a taste test Kenneth - anytime!

Was around Heeah's house for dinner today. She made a sweet Korean BBQ. It was really good!

Today I tried playing squash for the first time. Ken plays every single week and he took me, Heeah, Wilson, Belinda and Puay with him. He gave us a short training course before we got started.

Afterwards, we went to a Hong Kong restaurant. We tried Peking Duck.

Today I helped Heeah move to her new place - a student house that she will share with three other students from Brazil.

When I came to help she had made sushi for me. It was smoked salmon, my favourite.

Friday and the weekend again. Was out with Heeah, Aaron, Ken, Ravi and Quan. We had dinner at Valentinos and ended up at the Mustang Bar in the evening.

Saturday, 10 December 2005

Today I invited Page to Christmas Dinner. I think she has prepared herself for it the whole week. It included different cakes, in addition to turkey and Christmas pudding.

A relaxed night with good food.

Darren and Page had bought a Christmas gift for me. It was like a dictionary for Australian slang. Very funny, incomprehensible words and expressions for Norwegians.

Shopping day. Tried to find something smart to buy to my family and friends. With a little help, I have been able to get a hold of most of the stuff. At least I have a plan.

Ken and Puay held a Thai cooking course for Heeah and I. They taught us how to make Pad Thai noodles, which are a popular meal in Thailand.
