Inside Omega

Opening of new Oslo office

Published: 02.11.07

Omega opened their new office in Oslo this week.

Omega's first Eastern Norway office opened November 1. It is situated at Lilleaker in Oslo municipality, at the western edge of the city of Oslo and adjacent to Lysaker train station. Arne Inge Mathisen will take charge as Office Manager, and Anne Bergan joins him as Service Coordinator.

When Statoil and Hydro merged, their geographic focus was shifted eastwards, in terms of project services. Keeping this in mind, Omega is now expanding in the east as well. The Oslo office will be the natural point of contact for all consultants either operating or living in Eastern Norway.

Manager Arne Inge Mathisen emphasizes the opportunity to run Pims support on that side of the country, especially with our biggest Pims client's relocation the support need will greatly increase in the area. Mathisen is coming from Statoil himself, and his starting date in Omega coincides with the office opening on November 1.

The new Omega location gives the company a chance to run a more proactive operation in the area, including both networking and recruiting potential new clients and consultants.

There will be an official opening of the office on November 21. CEO Petter Aalvik, Manager Arne Inge Mathisen and Morten Emil Sørenes from the Project Systems department will be present to introduce both Omega and the new office.
