Assignment Description

The position will be split between a PIMS Coordinator role and MC Engineer role. A 50/50 time split between PIMS and MC can be expected.

General Description of the role: Completion System Coordinator
The role supports the Batam Completion Manager with the day-to-day operation of the
Completion system database. The role is responsible for Pims CMS setup for the Batam scope covering the SRU and TEG modules to be built at the ProFab yard, Batam, Indonesia. The role also
includes an overview of interfaces towards contractor’s systems, Pims Modules, and other
systems.
The role supports the Batam Team with relevant knowledge and training.
Ensure correct setup, monitor population, and ensure correct information supplied from, i.e..
engineering or suppliers.
The role owns the access control function for the NOV Batam scope.

General Description of the role: MC engineer
Familiarize themselves with the drawing, specification, functional requirements, and MC schedule
for the systems they are responsible for.
Assist fabrication with understanding of the drawings, specifications and functional requirements
for their MC packages.
Review and propose technical solutions, guidelines, procedures, and work instructions as required
for MC in their area of responsibility.
Make sure that the MC work will be performed and documented according to drawings,
specifications, and MC-Schedule.
Handover of their MC-packages from NOV to FFA in Batam.
Ensure good personal “requirement” knowledge within the completion organization and
participate in introduction/training as required.
Compliance with values within Client and project HSE and Quality.
Implementation of the MC scope of work (SOW) in the Project’s Completion System (PCS).

The Company follow-up team in Batam currently includes approximately 30 professionals. A site
manager is responsible for both SRU and TEG packages to be delivered to Norway summer 2025.

This position will report to the MC & Completion Manager at the Batam site team. Location of work will be at the ProFab yard in Batam Island, Indonesia.

Main Responsibilities and deliverables Completion System Coordinator role
• Responsible for correctly using completion systems within a project, including CMS, query
management, WO, WPR, SAS change log, LUN and ATS.
• Facilitate meetings to bring up interfaces between Pims and contractors’ systems. Report any
errors during the import and follow up with Omega.
• Report and follow up on Pims errors and bugs to Omega support and Pims coordinator.
• Assist MC and commissioning during the set-up of the completion structure and ensure that
this is according to Aker BP governing documentation. (Check autonumbering)
• Assist MC and commissioning with scoping and commissioning procedures in Pims.
• Identify and provide vendors with CMS/Pims training and user access at the latest 12 weeks
before FAT.
• Provide training to project personnel and ensure that all handover processes follow governing
documentation.
• Identify improvements to completion systems and raise them to the Systems and Processes
Manager.
• Participate in weekly meetings and workshops with basis and contribute to assigned tasks.

Main responsibilities and deliverables MC engineer role
The role holder shall ensure that MC is implemented for:
Purchase packages.
• Close follow-up of the NOV sub-contractors wrt. quality and progress for delivery to
Batam site for fabrication
• Monitor critical punches that may impact the fabrication schedule.
• Assist PRE and supplier through the IRN handover process.

Construction phase:
• Ensure that all LCI tags and required non-LCI tags are made available in the PCS, including
metadata.
• Ensure that all LCI and the required non-LCI tags are connected to commissioning
packages, based on the commissioning boundaries.
• Ensure a uniform quality of non-LCI tags.
• Ensure that all LCI and required non-LCI tags are issued with MCCR’s.
• Assist preservation responsible with regards to establish and maintain the preservation
scope in PCS.
• Ensure that preservation requirements are followed and monitor preservation activities.
• Ensure that all construction job cards are linked to the relevant MCCR’s and review and
accept MC SOW for all construction job cards.
• Ensure that the engineering database is aligned with the PCS with regards to amount and
quality of tags and commissioning package relation.
• Ensure that the project plan for construction activities is aligned with the MC milestone
plan for Batam.
• Ensure that the MC personnel in field is trained in the usage of the PCS.
• Facilitate the MC handover process by assisting site personnel in preparation of walk
down work packages when needed.
• Keep track of design changes.
• Keep track of remaining work and “hold jobs” related to their systems.
• Cooperate with engineering to ensure engineering data is updated in accordance with
revised updates of key documents.
• Cooperate with planning and fabrication to meet scheduled MC dates.
• Verify that MC and preservation status in PCS are updated.
• Verify that MCCR’s has all required attachments in PCS.
• Carry out pre punch out.
• Carry out and coordinate discipline and multi discipline punch out with company.
• Register punch item in PCS.
• Follow up punch items and take necessary action to solve them.
• Report status on their MC packages in internal handover Meetings.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years college or university education
• Min. 5 years relevant site experience
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Good communication skills
• Long relevant experience may compensate for less formal education.
